Laura J Fitzwilson

Laura is a writer, specialising in speculative fiction with a focus on people. She completed her Bachelor of Arts with Distinction (double-majoring in Literature and Creative Writing) in 2020 at Federation University. Her short story “All My Tuesdays” was shortlisted for the 2022 Aurealis Awards.

She’s also a devoted reader, a surprisingly good gardener and a prolific crafter. She’s queer, disabled and wouldn’t want to be anyone else. She writes from Wadawarrung Country in regional Victoria, Australia with the help of her husband, a dog and two cats. It is her life’s aspiration to write as fearlessly as the Fast and Furious writers do.
